"UTAU TSUNAGARU FUKUSHIMA"

JLMM formed a Gospel Choir recruiting from the public in April, 2009.
We aim "Community" which is rooted in local society, accepts anyone and enables the members to connect more people by singing together.

This time the theme is "Fukushima, Sing to Connect".
To support the disaster areas of Great East Japan Earthquake, Catholic Tokyo Archdiocese, Catholic Shinsei-Kaikan and JLMM set up Catholic Tokyo Volunteer Center (CTVC).
CTVC is based mainly in the southern part of Miyagi and Fukushima, sends volunteers to Watari-cho, Miyagi and supports those in temporary housing in Soma-shi, Fukushima-shi and Shirakawa-shi, Fukushima.

We want to connect to people in Fukushima in the concert.
Your donation will carefully be used for JLMM activities of CTVC especially for the support of the people in temporary housing.

Unprecedented disaster hit Japan on 11th March, 2011. Many precious lives were lost and many people still live under terrible conditions in the disaster area.
People in Fukushima suffer not only the disaster by the earthquake and tsunami but also the effect of the accident of the nuclear plant. Even the foods without restriction of shipment due to the radiation contamination cannot sell due to the harmful rumors and the people have a hard time.
JLMM likes to support the people by introducing and selling the products from the area and started the project "Shoppers Supporters".
We selected the items for daily use. Both individual purchase and sales cooperation at bazaars and charity events are welcomed.

The theme of the concert is "Sing to connect, MDGs"
JLMM agrees Millennium Development Goals which was adopted in 2000 and operates projects to achieve eight goals such as to halve the poor in the world by 2015, etc.
In the concert we will introduce MDGs and our projects for MDGs to the audience, so that the people of JLMM mission areas, the audience and choir members can share the joy of "living together" and connect each other by singing.
